Terms of Service

By accessing or using Cardoons (cardoons.io), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. Cardoons is currently in public beta. The service may be modified, interrupted, or discontinued at any time without notice. Beta use on Cardano mainnet involves real ADA and real risk — please proceed with that understanding.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use Cardoons. Cardoons is designed for parents and legal guardians who wish to preserve children's artwork on the blockchain and optionally create a financial gift wallet for a child. You represent that you have full legal authority to act on behalf of any child whose artwork or wallet is managed through your account. Cardoons is not available in jurisdictions where use of cryptocurrency services is prohibited by law. You are responsible for compliance with all laws applicable in your location.

Cardoons provides tools to: • Mint children's artwork as NFTs on the Cardano blockchain via a connected wallet • Optionally attach an ADA gift to fund a child's personal reward wallet • Delegate child wallet funds to Cardano staking pools • View and manage minted NFTs and wallet balances through the dashboard • Withdraw funds from multisig reward wallets All blockchain transactions are irreversible. Once submitted to the Cardano network, transactions cannot be cancelled or refunded.

Cardoons charges a flat service fee of 4 ADA per mint, in addition to the standard Cardano network fee (approximately 0.17 ADA at the time of writing). Network fees are set by the Cardano protocol and may change. Any ADA gift amount you choose to attach to a child's wallet is separate from these fees and is your own funds being transferred to a wallet you control. Fees are non-refundable once a transaction is confirmed on-chain.

Cardoons is a non-custodial platform. We never hold, store, or have access to your private keys, seed phrases, or funds. You are solely responsible for: • The security of your connected wallet and its seed phrase • The security of any child reward wallet seed phrase shown to you during minting • All transactions initiated from your wallets If you lose your seed phrase, your funds cannot be recovered by Cardoons or anyone else. There is no password reset for a blockchain wallet.

By minting artwork through Cardoons, you represent and warrant that: • You own or have the right to publish the artwork • The artwork does not violate any third-party intellectual property rights • The artwork does not contain illegal content, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), content that incites violence, or content that violates any applicable law • You understand that minted content is permanently and publicly stored on IPFS and the Cardano blockchain and cannot be removed Cardoons reserves the right to refuse service and block access to accounts that submit content violating these terms.

All NFTs, metadata, and artwork minted through Cardoons are permanently stored on the Cardano blockchain and IPFS. Neither Cardoons nor you can alter, delete, or hide this content after minting. Please review all details carefully before confirming any transaction. Cardoons is not liable for errors made during minting (wrong description, wrong image, wrong ADA amount, etc.).

NFTs and ADA are speculative digital assets. Their value can increase or decrease significantly and may become worthless. Nothing on Cardoons constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Staking rewards are not guaranteed and depend on pool performance and Cardano network parameters, which can change. Past staking returns are not indicative of future returns. You are solely responsible for any tax obligations arising from your use of Cardoons in your jurisdiction.

Cardoons is currently in public beta. This means: • The platform may contain bugs, errors, or unexpected behaviour • Features may be added, changed, or removed without notice • We recommend starting with small amounts on mainnet until you are comfortable with the platform • The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind Using the platform on Cardano mainnet during beta involves real funds and real risk. You accept full responsibility for any losses arising from platform errors during the beta period.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cardoons Studio and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of funds, loss of NFTs, or loss of data — arising from your use of or inability to use the platform. Our total liability for any claim arising from use of Cardoons shall not exceed the service fees you paid in the 30 days preceding the claim.

The Cardoons platform, including its interface, code, branding, and copy, is the property of Cardoons Studio. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit written permission. You retain all intellectual property rights to the artwork you mint. By minting through Cardoons, you grant no licence to Cardoons over your artwork.

We may update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date will reflect any changes. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will attempt to provide notice via the platform.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Cardoons Studio is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before resorting to formal proceedings.
